A charity auction of Darjeeling teas, organised jointly by the Association of Tea and Coffee in Russia, and the Tea Board of India in Moscow, saw the teas fetching prices as high as 45,000 ruble ( $1384) per lot of 1.2 kg.

Tea from Goodricke’s Castleton estate won the highest bid, while the second highest bid was offered for Chamong Organic (35,000 ruble equivalent to $1076).

The third highest bid went to teas from another Goodricke Tea estate, Badamtam.

The other teas were also well-received, with prices ranging from $200 to $500 per 1.2 kg lot.
