Dunlop India has gone for an appeal seeking a stay on the winding up order served on the company by the Calcutta High Court on January 31.
The matter was heard on Monday by the Court, which scheduled the matter to be heard on Wednesday. The Court also asked the company to deposit a certain amount of money before the Court to prove its earnestness in the company’s revival.
The official liquidator will also not commence his task till the hearing.
Earlier in its order last week, the official liquidator was asked to take possession of the once blue chip tyre maker’s assets.
This followed a winding up petition filed by a clutch of creditors, most of whom had supplied raw material to the beleagured company.
