KOCHI: The Kerala Management Association (KMA) has been given the Best National Emerging LMA Award by the All-India Management Association, New Delhi.

The award is given based on performance and growth and is in recognition of the contributions made by the KMA to the management movement in the country, said a press release.

The award was given away at a function in New Delhi on Saturday by Sudhir Jalan, president, All-India Management Association, and Shiv Nadar, founder of HCL. Sunil Zachariah, president of KMA and N.R. Pai, immediate past president, received the award.

In another press release, the KMA said that the Management Leadership Award 2006 of the Kerala Management Association would be presented to P.K. Kurian by Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi on Wednesday. The function was being organised at 5.30 p.m. at Hotel Avenue Centre.

M.M. Murugappa, chairman, Carborundum Universal Ltd., would be the chief guest at the function. Mr. Zazhariah would preside, the press release added.
