KOCHI: Bank of India is an expansion mode in Kerala. The total number of branches in the country has crossed 3,000, said M. Narendra, executive director of the bank here on Saturday. The bank is opening its 83rd branch in Kerala at Pala on March 28.
Bank of India, being a leading public sector bank, which celebrated its centenary in 2006, opened its 2,977th domestic branch in India and 82nd branch in Kerala in February last, at Thodupuzha.
The bank had opened three branches in Kerala this year at Kanjhangad, Thodupuzha and a service branch in Thiruvananthapuram.
The fourth in the series is at Pala, said Mr. Narendra.
Total business mix in Kerala is Rs.2,924 crore. The bank’s CDR in Kerala is 73 per cent. The bank has a total business mix of Rs.30,7835 crore. The total number of branches has crossed 3,000.
It opened its first fully computerised branch in India at Mahalakshmi, Mumbai.
