BANGALORE: Bangalore-based Sonata Software has reported impressive results for the quarter ended September 30, 2006. On a stand-alone basis, Q2 revenues increased by 30 per cent to Rs. 47.06 crore from Rs.36.24 crore, while the profit after tax (PAT) increased by 65 per cent to Rs. 9.26 crore from Rs. 5.62 crores. Consolidated second quarter revenues increased by 32 per cent to Rs. 150.62 crore from Rs. 113.74 crore and consolidated second quarter PAT increased by 56 per cent to Rs. 9.88 crore from Rs. 6.32 crore. B. Ramaswamy, President and Managing Director, stated that, "sustained improvement over the last 12 quarters in key parameters such as PAT, cash flow generation, return on capital employed, and operating margins has been maintained. All this has been organic, and going forward, the inorganic strategy will help sustain the growth trajectory. The acquisition of shares of TUI Infotech will be completed during the third quarter."
