Rupee gains further

MUMBAI: The rupee rose further against the U.S. currency on Wednesday to end at more than seven-month high of 44.68/69 a dollar. In an active trading at the interbank foreign exchange market, the Indian unit resumed sharply higher at 44.65/67 a dollar from the previous close of 44.7250/7350 and rose temporarily to a high of 44.6300. However, the rupee lost early gains and fell to 44.70, before ending at 44.68/69 a dollar. PTI
