Reorients along 3 business verticals

NEW DELHI: Timex Watches has reinvented its corporate identity and will now be known as Timex Group India Ltd., a move in line with the company’s aggressive growth and diversification plans.

Internationally, the Timex Group is a powerhouse in the watch industry with a diverse portfolio of brands spanning the sports, fashion and luxury segments. The change in nomenclature is accompanied by an organisational restructuring that will re-orient the company along three business verticals, namely, Timex and Fashion Brands, luxury brands and jewellery.

Salil Sadanandan, Senior Vice-President, Marketing and Sales, has been appointed President for the core Timex and Fashion Brands business. M. K. Bandopadhyay, Senior Vice-President (Operations), has been named Chief Operating Officer and will spearhead the initiatives of the Precision Engineering Division apart from overseeing the manufacturing and supply chain initiatives of the company. The change in name has the approval of the board of directors of Timex Watches.
