KOCHI: The Spices Board will showcase Indian spices at the Indian trade fair in Sao Palo, Brazil, between March 6 and 11.
An Indian contingent, led by Spices Board Chairman V.J. Kurien, will be at the show to promote the spices that have growing demand in the Brazil market. Oils and oleoresins will be the major focus of the spices exhibition.
The spices exhibition, part of the India trade exhibition, is expected to generate more inquiries in the background of Brazil becoming a growing market for Indian products, technologies and services.
Indian exports to Brazil grew to $250 million during in the first quarter of 2005, a big jump from the first quarter of the previous year when Indian exports to that country stood at $94 million.
