A. L. Mudaliar

A. L. Mudaliar, a well-known industrialist, passed away in the early hours here on Wednesday after a brief illness. He was 87.

He is survived by his wife Vanitha Mudaliar, son Nirajnan and daughter Pramila Venugopal. He served the ICI group in various capacities before becoming the chairman of the group in 1976. He has also served as a non-executive director in various companies. Mr. Mudaliar also served as the Chairman of India Cements, Titan Industries and Bata India.
