Flying high: The Olympic torch is displayed in the square in front of the Potala Palace in Lhasa on Saturday before the cauldron was lit. Tibet’s Communist Party leader Zhang Qingli said at a ceremony marking the end of a two-hour relay through strictly guarded streets that “Tibet’s sky will never change and the red flag with five stars will forever flutter high above it.” The ceremony comes some three months after the region was convulsed by anti-China protests.
