NEW DELHI: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), an Indian Railways subsidiary, will introduce a “Mahaparinirvan special train,” with focus on Buddhist pilgrimage.

The train will be flagged off from Safdarjung Railway Station here on October 6. During the eight-day journey, the passengers will be taken to Gaya, Rajgir-Nalanda, Varanasi, Gorkhpur, Kushinagar, Lumbani in Nepal, Gonda, Agra and back to Delhi.
