Security was stepped up in the national Capital in the wake of the serial blasts in Hyderabad on Thursday.
A senior Delhi Police official said the personnel of the force have been alerted and they were keeping a tight vigil on the city.
“We are always on alert. There is nothing to panic,” the official said.
According to a PTI report from Jaipur, high alert has been sounded in the Pink City. “Security arrangement has been reviewed and police officers have been asked to remain alert,” Additional Police Commissioner Girraj Meena said.
He said security has been strengthened at sensitive places.
High alert in Maharashtra

Director General of Police Sanjiv Dayal confirmed to The Hindu the declaration of high alert. R.R. Patil, Home Minister, said security would be tightened in the State.
Security has been beefed up at important places such as Mantralaya, railway stations, international and domestic airport and the Bhabha Atomic Research Institute.
