NEW DELHI: Terrorism and the border issue figured during a meeting between Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha L.K. Advani and Chinese President Hu Jintao when the former called on the latter on Wednesday.

During the 25-minute meeting, both reportedly agreed that the continuing progress in India-China relations on several fronts should not be held hostage to the unresolved border question.

Mr. Advani requested Mr. Hu to use his country's good relations with Pakistan to tell the Pakistani leadership that the Kashmir question should not hold hostage the development of better relations with India in all other areas.

Mr. Advani also brought up the question of the Dalai Lama.
