Jammu: A police constable was killed and three others were injured, one of them seriously, when an unidentified militant lobbed a grenade at a police station at Baderwah in Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday evening, official sources said here.

An unidentified ultra hurled a grenade at the police station at Pasri Mohalla in Baderwah at 6 p.m., they said.

Hafiz Ullah of Anantnag district, a constable, was killed on the spot and three others were injured.

The injured were rushed to sub-district hospital in Baderwah.

However, one of them, who sustained serious wounds, was being referred to the Government Medical College Hospital here, they said.

The militant managed to escape after the attack.

A search operation had been launched to track down the culprit, the sources said. PTI
