SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir police on Thursday claimed to have busted a module of the Lashkar-e-Taiba, with the arrest of two workers planning to carry out a “major strike” here.

Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Kishtwar, and Mohammad Yousuf Panchoo of Banihal were arrested at Dalgate, the city’s tourist hub, a police spokesman said.

A live hand grenade, Rs.25,000 in cash and some “incriminating documents” were seized from them, the spokesman said. — PTI
