The Bharatiya Janata Party is trying to woo some of the 14 MLAs who attended Haveri rally in a bid to retain its majority in the Assembly. According to a senior BJP leader, four MLAs had indicated that they would leave the Yeddyurappa camp. These MLAs have reportedly told the party that they were under pressure to attend the rally.
The party is also focussing on retaining its flock by giving suitable posts to them.
The party is learnt to have decided to make fresh appointments to about 30 boards and corporations to accommodate prominent party leaders as well as legislators.
Before this, the party will dismiss members of the Yeddyurappa camp now holding posts in boards and corporations, sources said.
