Secondary Education Minister Kolusu Parthasarathi has been summoned by the First Metropolitan Magistrate to appear before it on October 29 in a case filed by Revenue Divisional Officer S. Venkata Rao for alleged concealing of certain facts in his election affidavit during Assembly elections in 2009.

Magistrate Srinivas on Wednesday asked the Minister to appear before the court in person on October 29.

The RDO’s action follows a directive from the EC to the Collector to file a report on the alleged concealing of facts in the affidavit filed by the Minister in 2009 along with his nomination papers.

The Collector had the report in August this year. During verification of the affidavit, it was found that the Minister did not give details of the case filed against him by the ED for FERA violation.
