Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee handed a cheque for Rs. 10 lakh on Saturday to the representatives of the West Bengal Association of Christian Schools for the repair of the Christ Church Girls High School which was vandalised by a section of parents and outsiders following the death of a student.    The money was allocated from the MPLAD funds of Trinamool general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Mukul Roy. 

Abir Adhikari, secretary of the Calcutta Diocese of the Church of North  India, who was part of the four-member delegation which met Ms. Banerjee, said they were happy that the Chief Minister had taken personal  interest in the issue.
