BANGALORE: "I want to live to see the completion of the project," says 95-year-old Gangubai, dreamily. Her birthplace at Shukravarapete, Dharwad, will be taken over by the Government to be preserved as a museum for posterity. "That house is a treasure trove of memories. It reverberates with not just my early days of music, but also of my mother and her music," says Gangubai. But at no cost does she want it to become a conventional museum.
