NEW DELHI: The five shopkeepers from Indore in Madhya Pradesh summoned by the Haryana police joined the investigations in the Samjhauta Express blasts case at Panipat on Friday.

According to the police, the shopkeepers would be questioned for any valuable information they might have about the persons who bought the materials used to assemble the bombs.

On the basis of description provided by Huzefa Halim Ali and Pooran Thakur, who allegedly sold the suitcases that were used to plant the bombs in the train, the police are trying to prepare sketches of the suspects.

The police believe that the materials used for configuring the bombs had been bought from Kothari Market in Indore.

While interrogation of Huzefa and Pooran is under way, the police would later corroborate their disclosures with those of the shopkeepers to find out if they are telling the truth.
