Kerala High Court has said no to a public interest petition seeking a directive to the KMRL to extend the rail up to Tripunithura.

Dismissing the petition, a Division Bench of the HC comprising Chief Justice Manjula Chellur and Justice K. Vinod Chandran said the State government or its committee must have looked into the matter from every angle — whether it was the financial burden or identification of places for the first phase of the project. Besides, it was a policy decision of the government. The petition filed by A.B. Babu of Thripunithura sought extension of the rail from Petta to Tripunithura.
