Flood toll rises to 130
MONSOON HAVOC:The flood fury in the north, especially in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, has claimed over 130 lives and left 70,000 pilgrims stranded. A portion of the compound of the Kedarnath temple was washed away, but the temple itself was in tact. The temple is virtually submerged in mud and slush, where 50 people died.
