He was back after 12 days of recuperation at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases (RGICD) where he was taken barely hours after he was sent to jail on September 9 following a court direction to remand him in judicial custody.
He had complained of breathlessness, and was diagnosed with asthma and jaundice. He was declared “fit for discharge” on Tuesday, even as the Principal City Civil and Sessions Court dismissed his bail application.
Mr. Darshan is in Block D, where Katta Jagadish, BJP councillor and son of prominent politician Katta Jagadish Naidu, is lodged.
The actor was produced before the magistrate court through videoconferencing, and his judicial custody was extended till October 4.
His lawyers then moved the Karnataka High Court seeking bail, and the case will come up for hearing on Thursday.
