Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare P. Lakshmi promises Rosaiah of a fresh look at the decision

NEW DELHI: The Centre has promised to have a re-look at the decision to label warning on beedi packs, a decision that has turned controversial in Andhra Pradesh. State Finance and Health Minister K. Rosaiah on Wednesday called on Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Panabaka Lakshmi here and discussed various proposals from the State Government. Mr. Rosaiah told correspondents that during the course of his discussions, he raised the issue of compulsory labelling of beedi packs from February 2007. Ms. Lakshmi said that Union Health Minister had promised a fresh look at the decision from all angles.
