Judicial Magistrate I Padmanabhan on Friday ordered filing of cases against three deputy superintendents of police and two government doctors for doctoring with the case relating to the death under suspicious circumstances of a dyeing unit employee way back in 2011.

M. Jayandhi of Chinnamookanankurichi near here had filed a complaint with the Judicial Magistrate I court that there was mystery surrounding the death of her brother Kaliappan at a dyeing unit near here on April 19, 2011.

Foul play suspected

She suspected foul play and had charged the police and others with obfuscating evidences to twist the case.

Based on her complaint, the court heard the case and on Friday directed the authorities to file cases against three Dy. SPs Chandramohan, Thangadurai, and Manokaran who had supervised the Karur police sub-division during the period besides two government hospital doctors Kannan and Kasthuri who had performed and submitted the post mortem/autopsy report of Kaliappan.

The court ordered that the cases be filed against the officials immediately and compliance report submitted to the Judicial Magistrate I by April 5.

The charges include dereliction of duty and wilful twisting of facts pertaining to the case.
