Boeing launched a bigger version of its 787 Dreamliner at the Paris Air Show on Tuesday. It has already received more than 100 orders from airlines and leasing groups.
“Boeing today [on Tuesday] officially launches the 787-10,” the aircraft manufacturer’s head Jim McNerney said. Purchase commitments have been received from United Airlines, Singapore Airlines and British Airways, and leasing firms ALC and GECAS.
The announcement puts Boeing back in the running after technical problems forced the grounding of the entire Dreamliner fleet for three months in a huge blow to the U.S. firm. — AFP
