Noida: The pathology records in the Arushi murder case were found missing from the district government hospital, the Chief Medical Superintendent said on Sunday.
When the cupboards were opened by the district administration on Saturday on a CBI request, the records were found missing, CMS S.C. Singhal said.
“The pathologist has been on unauthorised leave for the last few months. The CBI was asking for original pathology reports. In the presence of a four-member team led by city magistrate two almirahs in the pathology department were broken open.”
The CBI (team) scanned the records in the almirahs but records pertaining to 2008 period were missing. Arushi murder case reports required by the CBI were in that file,” Mr. Singhal said.
Mr. Singhal said the hospital is sending a letter to the pathologist asking her about the missing file. “She has been asked to produce the file. Today being Sunday the letter was not dispatched,” he said. — PTI
