HYDERABAD: The most-awaited test of the State, EAMCET, will be conducted on May 14 this year and L.V.A.R. Sharma will be the EAMCET-2009 Convenor.
APSCHE Chairman K.C. Reddy released the dates of all the prominent Common Entrance Tests of the State along with the Conveners and the universities selected to conduct the test at a press conference here on Wednesday. The ECET, conducted for Polytechnic students for lateral entry into engineering courses will be conducted on May 11 and G. Tulasiram Dass, Director, Academic & Planning, JNTU, will be the Convener for the test.
The Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) held to admit students in MBA and MCA courses will be held on May 9. Andhra University has been entrusted with the responsibility of the test and P.S.N. Raju, Principal, AU College of Engineering, will be the Convener. The Ed-CET conducted for admissions into B.Ed courses will be held on June 7 and K.S. Sudheer Reddy of the Faculty of Education, Osmania University, will be the Convener of the test.
The LAWCET for admissions into law courses will be conducted on May 30 by S.V. University and V.R.C. Krishnaiah of Department of Law, SV University, Tirupati, will be the Convener. Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, will conduct the PECET this year and Prof. D. Suryanarayana of Department of Physical Education, ANU, will be the Convener. Prof. Reddy said the Vice-Chancellors of the respective universities, entrusted with the job will be the chairmen of the tests. He said notifications for the tests would be issued by the respective Conveners soon.
