The Nallalam police raided the house of V.K.C. Mammad Koya, former MLA, on Sunday as part of the ongoing investigation into the murder of the Revolutionary Marxist Party (RMP) leader T.P. Chandrasekharan.

The raid was conducted on receiving information that some of the accused had been hiding in the house, the police said.

However, no arrests were made following the raid.

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) district committee protested against the raid.

The party alleged that the raid was part of the State government's attempt to politicise the murder.
