The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme was expanded on Tuesday to include 30 works in agriculture, watershed, livestock, fisheries, flood management and irrigation and was aligned with a national sanitation campaign. “Today, we can say MGNREGA 2.0 has started,” Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh said.
