Jammu: Seventy-three persons from both the sides of Jammu and Kashmir will cross the Line of Control (LoC) at Chakan-da-Bagh in Poonch district on Monday to visit their ancestral lands after six decades.

"It is the process of confidence-building measures for divided families from both sides of Kashmir, and 73 people will cross the LoC," official sources said here.

The sources said 30 Indian citizens will cross over to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) from Poonch, while 43 people from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir will cross over to the Indian side. Seventeen persons crossing from the Indian side are residents of Mendhar, nine of Poonch and four of Surankote, they said. UNI
