SRINAGAR: Three militants, including a self-styled commander of Harkat-ul-Jehad-e-Islami (HUJI), were killed and another militant surrendered before the security forces in Anantang district on Friday in separate operations, an Army spokesman said.

Troops of 36 Rashtriya Rifles launched an operation in Nich Mawar forest in Dooru area of Anantnag district in the morning, in which one militant was killed and another surrendered. Yusuf Bimla alias Rizwan, company commander of HUJI, was killed while Shahnawaz Naikoo surrendered. — PTI
