Decision due to Election Commission's model code of conduct for Goa polls

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Trustees (CBT) of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Organisation on Sunday, once again, deferred a decision on the rate of interest for 2006-07 and 2007-08 for its four-crore subscribers. This was due to the Election Commission's model code of conduct for Goa Assembly elections.

The special meeting of the CBT convened here on Sunday evening was chaired by the Minister of State for Labour (Independent charge) Oscar Fernandes.

The next meeting of the EPF Board is likely to be held on July 2.
