HYDERABAD: Film star Chiranjeevi will make an announcement about his entry into politics in a month or two, according to his brother-in-law and film producer Allu Arvind.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Mr. Arvind, who is part of the film star’s think tank and considered one of the prime movers of the idea of floating a political party, said Mr. Chiranjeevi knew the aspirations of the people and would announce his decision at an appropriate time.
“Mr. Chiranjeevi knows what people’s desire is and he has no confusion about it,” he said.
Replying to queries, he, however, clarified that the film star would not take any decision in haste about his political entry as it would impact lakhs of his fans as well as the people.
The relay hunger strikes, rallies and meetings being conducted by people asking Mr. Chiranjeevi to announce a decision reflected their enthusiasm, “but we have not asked them to organise any such events”.
At the same time, Mr. Arvind described the reports appearing in a section of the media about the possible dates of Mr. Chiranjeevi’s political debut as “speculation”.
