It was celebration time at ICSE schools across the State, with the pass percentage as high as 99.97 per cent for the Class 10 examination and 98.31 per cent for ISC students, according to the results declared on Tuesday.
This is higher than the pass percentage at the national level, which was 98.61 per cent and 97.24 per cent for Class 10 and Class 12, respectively. Class 10 results in Karnataka saw a marginal increase of 0.03 per cent in performance over last year, while Class 12 results saw a decline of 1.16 per cent.
As always, girls have done well, with all 3,718 of them who appeared for the Class 10 examination getting through. Among the boys, only two did not pass. In Class 12, only five girls and 12 boys did not pass.
In the special category, 99.52 per cent Scheduled Caste students, 100 per cent Scheduled Tribe students and 100 per cent Other Backward Classes students passed.
Marks sheets for Class 12 will reach the schools on May 19 and for Class 10, a day later.
