Feb 1 The space shuttle Columbia disintegrates over the State of Texas in US, minutes before its scheduled landing in Florida, killing all seven astronauts -- six Americans, including Indian-American Kalpana Chawla, and an Israeli Air Force officer. Full Story
Feb 3 NASA says there will be a "hold'' on future shuttle flights due to the Columbia disaster, though this will be temporary. Full Story
