Riddle time!

A condemned man has to choose between two rooms. The first is full of raging fires, the second has fierce assassins armed to the teeth and the third has lions that have not eaten for three years. Which one should he choose?

He is clever and chooses the room with the lions because lions starved for three years are surely dead.
