Dumb charades

Preparing for an inter-school dumb charades competition was a unique, exciting and challenging experience. The motivating force behind our teamwork was our Principal. To communicate without speaking was extremely difficult in the beginning, but continuous practice made miming and interpretation easier for us. We were one among the 47 schools that participated. We gained confidence when we were selected for the final round. We seemed to be the most tense of the six finalists. The rounds were based on movies, rhymes and places. We became nervous when it was our turn, but we managed to guess correctly and pretty quickly. But were we quick enough? It was a million dollar question. Tension mounted as we waited for the final announcement. When our school was declared the winners, we could hardly believe our ears. We were on cloud nine.
