My trip abroad
The Petronas towers
It was yet another drab afternoon. We were sulking with the day's heat and we least expected an excitement coming our way. But who enters? None but our Principal and my heart missed a beat ... what did we do thsi time?
But I was in the seventh heaven when I heard the most unexpected announcement. When she said "school trip" we all jumped from our seats, then when she said that it was to Colombo, Malaysia and Singapore, our hearts pounded with excitement.
Four long months rolled by before we could finally get our passports and visas. On January 9, my excitement reached heights. By now my ears were filled with loads of instructions. Finally, it was the time to depart and we flew to Colombo. We felt at home as the place wasn't very different from India except for the clean beaches and beautifully carved temples of the Buddha.
The next day we flew to Malaysia and landed in Kuala Lumpur. We saw the world's tallest building Petronas twin towers. The view from the 44th floor was awe-inspiring. The next day was full of fun and frolic at Genting Highland's Theme Park. The thrilling rides left us awe-struck.
Our next destination was Singapore a dreamland for everyone. We had a good ride around Sentosa Island and everything there was beautiful but the centre of attraction was the fountain laser show, which I would always cherish as a lovely memory.
Our bright and gay moods were turning dull as the day of returning was coming near because no one wanted to leave and go back to the hectic school schedule. We were physically present in India but our minds were still wandering.
We were eager to return to school and tell our friends about our mind blowing experience.
The first two things we were eager to tell our friends was that it is cleanliness and punctuality that we ought to imbibe to practically enjoy paradise on earth.
