Touch of magic

‘Black Magic,’ a new collection of paintings by former bureaucrat Lizzie Jacob, will be unveiled at Suryakanti Art Gallery (Capitol Centre, Statue). It will be inaugurated by Culture and Education Minister MA Baby at 5.30 p.m. on July 24. Her new collection is yet another path in Lizzie’s journey as an artist.

“Unlike her previous works, the entire collection has been done with dry pastels on black paper ,” says artist B. Dethan, curator of the gallery.

One wonders if it also touches on her interest in magic. The exhibition will be on till July 31.
