Steamed and stir fried
Lemon Grass, the Oriental restaurant at Hotel Rain Tree, Alwarpet, is hosting a Steamed and Stir Fried Food Festival till September 3. The festival is open for dinner, 7.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. and features an a la carte menu.
The starters include wotip and dimsum for vegetarians and a selection of poultry and seafood for non-vegetarians. While vegetarians can choose from pan fried Chinese greens, stir fried spinach with garlic, stir fried broccoli, steamed stuffed mushroom and steamed asparagus with ginger wine, seafood lovers can savour stir fried pakchoy prawns, steamed prawns with fresh garlic, stir fried squids with black mushroom in spicy oyster sauce or stir fried squid with celery and red peppers. Also available are stir-fried chicken with twin peppers, General Zhu's favourite chicken and chicken Dong style
Steamed and stir fried options are available in the rice and noodles section as also in the dessert section. Steamed rice is available with a choice of vegetables, chicken or prawn as is steamed noodles. The desserts comprise steamed coconut roll, steamed banana roll and steamed apple strudel.
