Simplicity is the key word

As the Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week 2007 approaches more and more designers are showcasing their collections.Designers Manju and Bobby Grover have also chosen to give a sneak preview of their spring summer collection. Named as `Between Yesterday And Tomorrow', the collection seems to be moving away from opulent prints and rich colours to a look that is clean, natural and minimalistic.

Speaking about their collection, Manju and Bobby Grover say that the collection is understated and hence more wearable. Although the use of flashy colours and stone embellishments has been kept to a minimum but a lot of work like washing, crushing, hand tucking has been done with the fabrics.

The collection essentially consists of four parts, including lounge wear in white, clothes that could be worn during the day in colours like beige and white, formal wear endorsing white with hints of fluorescent colours and the evening wear which is done in black, white and brown The use of fabrics like chiffon, lightweight voile and heavy weight voile ensure the comfort. The intricate embroidery is very tone-to-tone with emphasis on appliqué work and use of matt beads, stones, lace and ribbon giving a classy look to the outfits. The two have even tried their hand at jewellery this time. It includes natural pearls set in startling silver. Going in tune with the collection the footwear consists of tie up shoes and ballerina shoes.

Manju and Bobby are also planning to launch a new label, M&BG Home, under which they will sell home accessories, ranging from drapes to cushions.
