Students of Shree Natya Niketan are off to the Edinburgh Festival once again as part of a 10-day Indo Scottish cultural exchange programme.
They had been invited for the festival the last year and won a lot of praise and appreciation for their performance.
As they take off for Scotland, six Scottish students make their way to India in January.
The Indian team of dancers constitutes students from various schools and colleges of Coimbatore.
The 13 students of Shree Natya Niketan will promote and teach Bharatanatyam at Edinburgh and ,at the same time, learn Scotland's local dances.
Director and teacher of the dance academy, Mrudula Rai, will escort the students.
She has been imparting both the theory and practice of the ancient dance form of Bharatanatyam to her students and also prepares them for the junior and senior grade exams conducted by the government of Karnataka.
