FOR THIRUVNANTHAPURAM METRO PLUS:: Eating out at Mourya Rajadhani...........

Enjoy the cool breeze as the palms sway gently to it. Listen to the soothing music rendered live, sit back, and relax as you enjoy Maurya Rajadhani's buffet. The restaurant, aptly called `Palmtop' comprises mostly Chinese and Indian dishes.

A welcome drink greeted us. A mix of lime, mint and a hint of ginger, it was refreshing.

Starting off the meal

Creamy sweet corn chicken soup was a good way to start our meal. A chaat corner offering picks like bhel puri, sev puri and papdi chaat beckoned us. For those who enjoy dosas, piping hot dosas are there for the asking.

The vegetable noodles with crunchy vegetables were delicious. Gobi Manchurian and spicy dragon beef went well with the noodles.

Chicken croquettes, which reminded one of cutlets, had me going for seconds.

Traditional eats like tapioca and fish curry saw a group of foreigners digging in. To go with the soft naans and chappatis, one can pick from dal makhni or vegetable makhni for the vegetarians and butter chicken, or beef curry for the non-vegetarians.

We topped of our meal with fluffy pineapple soufflé and pal payasam. Palm Top also offers buffet for lunch. While dinner is priced at Rs. 180 plus tax, lunch is priced at Rs. 160 plus tax.
