`Expressions in Khadi' - an exhibition of garments for men, women and children is on at Fabindia till August 15 at its store in Ravipuram.
In shades ranging from subtle earth tones to vibrant hues, this block-printed collection of delicate lehriyas, smart stripes, amris, mughal floral patterns and geometrics is made of khadi specially woven to a fine count on the amber charkha.
Besides well-styled kurtis, wraparounds, salwar kameez ensembles, the range also comprises colourful capris, vibrant shirts and kurtas.... From casual to office to party, this collection makes a statement as individual and distinctive as the fabric itself.
Available in many weaves and designs, khadi is ideal for Indian climatic conditions.
Used by Mahatma Gandhi to symbolize India's struggle for freedom, khadi continues to be spun and woven in India's villages.
It is in continuation of Fabindia's endeavour to support and promote rural artisans and craftsmanship across India.
