In vibrant colours

Of salwar kurtas and saris from Kolkata today and tomorrow at Vimonisha

Vibrant hues and ethnic embellishments mark the collection from Kolkata-based Kashti Creations. At its exhibition at Vimonisha, which is on today and tomorrow, one can pick up salwar kurta sets, saris and kurtis embellished with sequins, zardosi work, kundan work and embroidery. Some have been hand painted too.

The range comes in cotton, crepe, georgette and silk. The colours are bright, in keeping with the spirit of the forthcoming Raksha Bandhan festival, like fuchsia and red. For those who prefer muted shades, there are clothes in beige and white.

Also available are jewellery, including danglers in white metal with semi-precious stones, bed covers, rakhis and bandanwars.

The exhibition is on at 12, Khader Nawaz Khan Road, Nungambakkam.
