Two decades of success

Hero Venkatesh will soon complete two decades of cine career. He has done 56 films in this span and is currently busy with Lakshmi. Though he kicked off his career with action roles, Venky remains one among the few heroes who refused to be caught in an image trap. He did varied roles with aplomb and is known for the immense fan following which comprises mostly of women because many of his films had family-centred themes. Lakshmi which will be his 57th film will have its audio release bash coinciding with his birthday on December 13 while the film will hit the screens around January 14 to coincide with Sankranti festival.

Looking for a hit

Young Nitin who had two consecutive flops in Dhairyam and Allari Bullodu is a bit cagey about his career. He had two big directors Teja and K. Raghavendra Rao in that order directing these films. Even Reema Sen and Trisha, cast as leading ladies in these films, failed to save them. Currently he has a film on hand with N. Shankar at the megaphone and another film for Sri Sri Chitra with Siddique as the director. He is looking at the newer crop of directors who gave some hits recently. The latest on him is that he is believed to have been chosen by the Varma factory for its next film in Telugu!

Pawan and Gogula together again

Pawan Kalyan and Ramana Gogula combo is returning with Supergood Films. Earlier Pawan used to insist on Ramana Gogula but after Johnny, Manisarma stepped in for Gudumba Shankar and Balu. Now Gogula is returning to Pawan's camp with this film, which is a remake of the Tamil hit Tirupachi which is tentatively titled as Annavaram. Thammudu and Badri were the two big musical hits of the duo. Gogula is also scoring music for Venkatesh's Lakshmi.
