Rajnikanth has always refused to give TV interviews even to reputed international channels. So channels highlight any film function that the superstar attends. The 100th day function of "Chandramukhi", which was telecast on Sun TV, fetched high TRPs. Now, Vijay TV and Raj TV are trying to cash in on Rajni's birthday which falls on December 12. Shankar. B of Raj TV says, "Rajnikanth is the most charismatic actor in the country. Raj TV has planned a month-long festival to celebrate his birthday." The channel is telecasting the Rajni hit "Dharmathin Thalaivan". Vijay TV has planned a `road show' anchored by Mamti Chari. Film personalities and Rajni fans can sign their best wishes on a birthday card which will be delivered at his Poes Garden residence. The show will be telecast on December 12, 8 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. on Vijay TV.
