Providing `solutions'

Torque facilitated various wireless communication solutions for `Rajamanikyam.' Over and above the staid mobile solutions, Torque provided a true shortcode with full interactivity, and leveraged it to serve 'premium' content, pushing back ringtones, wallpapers and other multimedia through the medium.

Wireless solutions as an advertising mechanism was exploited to the maximum in various ways, such as facilitating a voice-center call-back facility - only the fourth such initiative in the country.

Mammooty joined the ranks of Bachchan, Dravid and Vajpayee, and tens of thousands of people heard his voice through their mobiles.

Wireless solutions were also combined with traditional marketing means: every 100th person to SMS in would receive a free ticket to the movie. Thewhole campaign generated in excess of 50,000 responses in only a month, a record for such an initiative in South India.

Notable achievements

* The first firm to be approved by the State-level committee for Incubation.

* Broke the 1-lakh response barrier in a short period of two months

* Letters of commendation from the Ministry for Education, Ministry of Health, Vice-Chancellor of the Kerala University and the Director of Technical Education for working in the `larger interests of the State.'

* Implementing the first co-op education scheme in parent colleges, and evolving the PEP (Portfolio Enhancment Programme) proposal.

Following the success of the `Rajamanikyam' and `Bus conductor' ventures, and other movies in the offing, a fully-owned subsidiary has been created to completely manage and overhaul wireless solutions for media advertising.

Torque Broadcast Solutions: Another fully owned subsidiary, led by Jose Luke, who also serves as the Manager, Business Administration, provides innovative broadcast solutions for satellite and cable television channels. Torque Broadcast Solutions already serves Malayalam Communications Ltd. and provides interactive data on Kairali and People channels.

Corporate Wireless Solutions: Another division of the firm is in an active development phase for a product termed `Fastcode.'

The product, which acts as a hosted solution, and for which the firm has applied for a patent, provides a comprehensive solution for managing wireless solutions for a corporate customer.

Fastcode aims to provide an incredible level of flexibility to customers by giving them complete control over their company's wireless solutions.

IIIT Portals: Torque works with IIITM-K (Indian Institute of Information Technology and Managemement, Kerala), to provide state-of-the art e-governance solutions for the State.

A portal for the police in Thiruvananthapuram has already been launched, and one for the Kozhikode police is scheduled for launch within six months.

The e-governance solution is a completely flexible one, which can cater to the needs of any branch of the government.
