For that sunny brunch

Yet another vegetarian eatery that is a happy combination of modernity and timelessness

VEGGIE WAY A sumptuous treat for the entire family

Sagar Society maintains its sylvan and quiet environs in spite of being located in the heart of the urban jungle. Winding lanes covered by canopies that filter in ambient winter sun and timelessness. Add to this a restaurant with a view, where you can sit by bay windows for that sunny brunch over a healthful vegetarian spread. And this one goes by the name of Muppidi's.

Nothing about the place is traditional, as the name sounds. Owner M. Sreeram Reddy ensures ample usage of metal and wood, prints and the OHP with sub woofers and speakers, towards the making of a swanky restaurant.

"Muppidi is my family name. We are trying to sell everything, continental, Chinese and Indian, thus the ambience," says Sreeram. "The concept we had was vegetarian cuisine. We wanted the ambience to be on the modern side. Vegetarian because, we found that majority of our clientele at our earlier restaurant Orchids opted for vegetarian cuisine," he adds.

A plethora of corn and paneer based sabzis, rice and starters not forgetting the soups wait for the connoisseur - Crispy corn, Baby corn fried rice, Corn curry and of course the Sweet corn soup. Care for some fiery breakfast? Go for Guntur idly topped with Guntur mirchi and served piping hot. For the oriental cuisine buffs there is Chilli garlic noodles and Veg American chopsuey. The menu offers Baked vegetable, Veg steak/sizzler and Macaroni with tomato sauce for the Conti freaks. "We also offer Jain food on request," says M. Sreeram Reddy. The place also has a snug banquet hall for those small get togethers.

Also, the restaurant has lined up special offers for software pros at the coffee shop, a lunch thali for Rs. 35. The already popular coffee shop is a hip version of a Balaji Darshan kind of a quick lunch eatery. But the cool glass topped steel table teamed with tall chairs makes all the difference. Drop by for a cuppa coffee or a proper meal.
